Jen-erosity for Jennie

Surgery Update:
She underwent back surgery last night to repair damage to the 4 areas that were unstable. She now has rods connecting the areas with the worst damage. Everything went well, the surgeon finished and hour earlier than expected, which we took as a good sign. The brain swelling pressures were down after surgery, which is awesome. Jennie squeezed my hand as we visited her and it warmed my heart. She is a fighter. We love you Jen.

ReplyDeleteThinking and praying for Jennie every minute since I heard. Thank you for doing this blog. I'm sure it will be hard, but the fastest way this day in age to let Jennie's many, many friends and family in different places updated. I'm so glad I got to see her and the kids the last time they were in Mesa and got to hug her, looking forward to the day I can hug her again.

Just found this blog via friends in Fort Collins. It's been a long time since we saw Jenny and Richard but we met them when they visited CSU's Chemistry Dept. (My husband was a grad student there at the time and was their tour guide.) We will add her and her family to our prayers, praying for blessings from heaven to heal her quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the Cornwall's ward and we love the Cornwalls. Thank you for the updates. We are praying for them daily.
ReplyDeleteArlene and I are Richard's Aunt and Uncle who live in SLC, but are on assignment in North Carolina. Richard's mother, Linda and
ReplyDeleteArlene are sisters.
My family and I have placed Jennie and Richard's name in every temple that is open in the US and Canada. We also held a fast for Jennie and her family today. I have been informed that many of you and their home ward in Colorado joined us in fasting.
We really do appreciate this blog in that we do not want to be bothersome to those who are so busy at the hospital taking care of business and making arrangements. Thank you.
In joining our faith and prayers and in providing service to the close family members, Arlene and I wish to express that the will of the Lord be done for we know that God leads each of us through our own individual and personal Plan for our Salvation. We pray for the miracles and know that whatever the outcome is, that outcome is for the Eternal benefit of those involved. Heavenly Father is that intimatey involved in our lives. We know that Father has been with Jennie from the moment she took off her seat belt until this very moment. Jennie has not been alone. This we know to be true. Duane and Arlene CALL
I'm Richard's cousin that lives in Salt Lake. And even though it has been YEARS since I've seen him my heart just goes out to him and to Jennie and their little kiddos. I can't even imagine how you must all be feeling but am so grateful for this blog so that we can see how she is doing. Prayers and positive vibes going out to Jennie and Richard tonight and every day going forward. So glad that the surgery went well too!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that we love you Jennie and are constantly thinking about you and your family. The blog is a wonderful idea, and to echo so many already, I'm so glad that the surgery went well. We'll keep praying for Jennie and for her recovery to continue to go well.

We join with all of you in offering our faith and prayers for Richard and Jennie and their children. We know they have a long road ahead, but they have many people who love them and will support them. It is in these difficult times that we learn again of the importance of family, friends and faith. You are daily in our thoughts and prayers. And your name is in the Bolivia temple too.

Jennie has been a dear friend of mine since High School. Since then we have spent time together through the years and our spouses are now friends and our kids are around the same ages. I love you Jennie and we have been praying for a miracle!!! Jennie has always been so diligent in her faith and has been a great example to me for as long as I've known her. I know this must be so hard for Richard and for her family. Our hearts go out to you all and we hope that we will see Jennie soon!

It is experiences like these that the Lord uses to bring us together and use all that is humanly good on this earth to invoke his blessing in a righteous cause. I am grateful for the updates, and I am grateful to know and love Jenny and Richard. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers, and in the prayers of many of our colleagues. May the lord continue to bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for all of you. Jennie has been a great example to me during our friendship and I have always admired her strength. I am sure she will inspire in the time to come.
ReplyDeleteRichard and Jennie you guys are such great friends. You are in our thoughts and prayer. When we lived in Colorado your family was also there for us. When we moved to California I truly missed being able to call you and do something with you, like making jam or going to the park to let the kids play together. Jennie you truly are a great friend and a great example to me. We love you guys.
